This isn't a real penguin's heart, just so you can tell the difference!

  All organs in the penguins body need blood. Amazingly that includes the heart.The penguins heart is made up of cardiac muscles,and contains cardiac arteries. Cardiac arteries have there own blood supply and if they get colgged the blood will stop flowing and eventually kill the penguin.
 

There are many arteries in the penguins.Here's some of them:

  • The common carotid arteries bring blood to the brain,head and neck.
  • The jugular veins drain blood from those same areas.

  • The axillary arteries bring blood to the flippers.

  • The pectoral arteries bring blood to the pectrol muscles.
